Big Y has been recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging and Community 2026 by Newsweek in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group.

The designation is based on one of the nation’s largest independent studies of employee experience, drawing on millions of employee reviews, survey data, public information and third-party analysis.

Michael D’Amour, president and CEO of Big Y, said the recognition reflects values that are embedded in how the company operates day to day.

“Being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging and Community affirms what matters most to us: our people. From how we support our team members to ensuring people feel heard and valued, caring for others has always been central to our purpose. This honor reflects the heart of Big Y, and we’re incredibly proud of the inclusive culture our employees continue to build together,” D’Amour said.

The award adds to a growing list of national employer recognitions for the Springfield-based grocer. Big Y has earned Forbes Best-In-State Employer honors in Massachusetts and Connecticut for seven consecutive years, Forbes Best Employers for Women recognition and Newsweek’s America’s Most Trustworthy Companies designation for three consecutive years.
