Whole Foods Market will open a new 43,130-square-foot store April 15 at 15650 Los Gatos Blvd. in Los Gatos, California, replacing a location that served the community for more than 30 years. The new store is nearly double the size of its predecessor.

The store features more than 2,000 products from 350-plus California-based suppliers, sourced with the help of Patrick Wyman, forager for local and emerging brands at Whole Foods Market. A new coffee and juice bar offers made-to-order beverages including signature drinks like the Brown Butter Cookie Latte and fresh-juiced blends. The expanded footprint also adds more seating areas and a dedicated parking lot.

Local produce suppliers include Tomatero Farm and Coke Farm. The specialty cheese counter will be staffed by trained cheesemongers and carries products from Andante Dairy and Nicasio Valley Cheese. The seafood counter features items from The Santa Barbara Smokehouse and Tsar Nicoulai, with all offerings either sustainable wild-caught or Responsibly Farmed. The meat counter sources from Eel River Organic Beef, Pozzi Ranch and Silva Sausage Co., with all animals raised with no antibiotics ever.

The beverage department carries more than 500 wines, 330-plus craft beers and products from more than 110 local wineries and 40 local breweries, including McBride Sisters Collection, Russian River Brewing Company and Cellarmaker Brewing Company. The bakery offers daily fresh bread alongside local items from Sconehenge Bakery, Firebrand Artisan Breads and Acme Bread Company.

Opening day perks and community giving

The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Los Gatos tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon with savings of up to $100 off. Opening morning features coffee and pastry samples from local suppliers.

To mark the opening, Whole Foods Market is donating an all-electric refrigerated van and food donation to West Valley Community Services through its Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program. The company will also provide monetary donations to Ma’alot Farms and River of Life Food Pantry.

Prime members receive an additional 10 percent off hundreds of in-store sale items and weekly discounts. Grocery pickup will be available after opening. Customers can pay in-store using Amazon One palm recognition or the Whole Foods Market or Amazon app.

Whole Foods Market operates more than 545 stores across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
