Amazon and The Winn-Dixie Co. expanded their grocery delivery partnership to the Greater Tampa Bay area, adding six counties and dozens of communities to a service that reaches nearly 100 cities and towns across Florida and southern Georgia.
Customers in Hillsborough, Pasco, North Pinellas, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties can now order from more than 15,000 Winn-Dixie items on Amazon — including fresh produce, quality meats, Own Brand products and specialty items — with two-hour delivery windows available.
Building on a multi-phase ollout
The Tampa Bay expansion follows launches in Jacksonville and Orlando in 2025. The partnership has since extended to Sarasota-Bradenton, Destin-Fort Walton Beach, West Palm Beach and Valdosta, Georgia.
Gayle Shields, chief merchandising and marketing officer for The Winn-Dixie Co., said the partnership is designed to serve shoppers regardless of their proximity to a physical store.
“Our continued partnership brings together Winn-Dixie’s trusted neighborhood stores — known for low prices, fresh quality groceries and trusted Own Brand products — with Amazon’s unmatched delivery experience,” Shields said.
“Expanding grocery delivery across Tampa Bay and beyond makes it easier for customers to shop Winn-Dixie online, whether they live around the corner or miles from the nearest store. Together, we’re bringing Winn-Dixie’s deals and everyday essentials to more doorsteps, so families can spend less time running errands and more time enjoying the moments that matter.”
Sophie Turrell, director of U.S. grocery partnerships at Amazon, said the Winn-Dixie collaboration exemplifies the company’s grocery access strategy.
“By partnering with a trusted local grocer like Winn-Dixie, we’re giving customers across Florida and southern Georgia more choice and flexibility – whether they’re shopping for fresh produce for tonight’s dinner or stocking up on groceries and household essentials for the week – all with the fast, reliable delivery they expect from Amazon,” Turrell said.
Current promotions
Prime members can receive $15 off orders of $75 or more using code “WDSPRING15” through April 14. For a limited time, both Prime and non-Prime customers can access free delivery on orders over $25. Winn-Dixie Rewards members can also link their Rewards account to their Amazon account to earn points on eligible purchases, redeemable for dollars off future in-store transactions.
