TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions has become the first certified partner authorized to sell and deliver the ELERA Commerce Platform by Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, giving retailers across North America a new channel to access Toshiba’s AI-driven POS and commerce architecture.
TRUNO can implement ELERA with retail customers without requiring a traditional rip-and-replace of current store technology infrastructure.
The ELERA Commerce Platform is Toshiba’s unified commerce architecture designed for cross-channel retailers. It allows retailers to build a customized technology stack suited to their specific operations, scaling and adapting without rebuilding from the ground up. The platform is designed to unify digital and physical retail environments across all customer touchpoints.
Crystal Harrison, VP of channel and pre-sales solution architects at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, said the certification accelerates ELERA’s reach into retail segments that previously had limited access to the platform.
“By certifying TRUNO to sell and implement ELERA, we’re combining Toshiba’s AI-driven retail platform with TRUNO’s deep industry expertise to help retailers modernize operations faster, simplify store technology, and unlock greater value from their investments,” Harrison said.
TRUNO CEO Chris St. Clair said the partnership reflects the company’s broader mandate to connect retailers with proven technology.
“At TRUNO, we take our role in navigating customers through the ever-changing world of retail technology seriously. ELERA gives our customers the flexibility to innovate without disruption, and we’re proud to be the first partner certified to deliver it,” St. Clair said.
TRUNO has operated for more than 45 years and serves more than 13,000 customer sites with a portfolio spanning point of sale, margin management, digital commerce and risk management. The Lubbock-based company focuses primarily on independent and regional grocers.
