The Winn-Dixie Co. announced that seven Harveys Supermarket locations in Florida and South Georgia will convert to the Winn-Dixie banner, the latest step in the company’s consolidation under a single brand following its rebranding from Southeastern Grocers in January.
The locations slated for conversion are in Jacksonville, Lake City, Lakeland and Ocala, Florida, and Folkston, Georgia.
Consolidating around one name
Anthony Hucker, chairman and CEO, said the conversions reflect a long-term commitment to brand clarity and continued investment in the stores and their communities.
“For more than a century, Winn-Dixie and Harveys have earned the trust of families and communities across our region,” he said. “Bringing our stores together under one iconic name, Winn-Dixie, allows us to build on that shared legacy while continuing to invest in our stores, our associates and the quality, value and fresh offerings our customers count on.”
Converting stores will carry Winn-Dixie’s updated store design and offer the grocer’s Own Brand products, prepared foods and its Lip Lickin’ Chicken deli program.
Harveys Rewards customers can transfer to the Winn-Dixie Rewards app without creating a new account – points will transfer automatically when customers enter their phone numbers in the Winn-Dixie app.

Come build a Winn Dixie in Manchester, Georgia
It is a shame that the one in eustis fla had to close the store was a good thing for the people in northern part of lake county
Where I live in Paisley Florida
Winn Dixie is compared to Shop Rite in the NE US.
2630 US Highway 92, Lakeland Florida the Winn Dixie parking lot is terrible. It needs to be improved.
What about port st lucie you closed st lucie blvd
Anthony,
Excellent long term strategy. There is lots of brand equity behind the WD name. Beef and PRivate Brand especially. You can use that as a base and build around it.
What about Moultrie or Sylvester or Tifton. I really miss Winn Dixie here. That was the only store my Parents would shop at. And I worked at the one in Moultrie GA
I worked their for 13 years.
I am not happy that Aldi has just about kicked Wynn Dixie stores out of the Deltona and surrounding areas and bringing in their Aldi stores instead. That is a monopoly. I want Wynn Dixie back, not have to shop at Aldi or other more expensive stores.
Winn Dixie over Aldi. Take Aldi out of here period
Amen !! They’re turning our Winn Dixie into an Aldi in Pensacola and we hate it. Now we’re going to have to go way out of our community to shop at a real grocery store.
Really looking forward to the new & improved Winn Dixie 4.0! Aldi has ruined all the stores they converted & has no relationship with its customers. I’m just ready for all the confusion to be sorted out & over with! I understand that Aldi is still in the process of converting more stores so customers aren’t sure if they’re shopping at a Winn Dixie owned by Aldi or a Winn Dixie owned by the NEW Winn Dixie Co. Sheesh!
