The United Family held a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 5 for its new Albertsons Market location in Lovington, New Mexico. The 50,000-square-foot store marks the company’s first location in the community.

The Lovington location features a full pharmacy with drive-thru, a meat service counter with fresh seafood, an extensive beer, wine and spirits selection, a full-service bakery with custom creations, and a floral department offering custom arrangements and delivery. ReadyMeals and other prepared food options round out the offering.
Leadership speaks
United Family President Sidney Hopper said the opening carries personal significance for the company.
“We are excited and proud to open this new location in the Lovington community,” Hopper said. “It is beautiful, spacious, and full of some of the best Albertsons Market has to offer. It is also especially meaningful to our company to expand our footprint in a community who has shown us so much love and hospitality.”
Hopper pointed to the store’s service mix as a differentiator for Lovington shoppers. “From the drive-thru pharmacy services to the floral department’s custom arrangements, this Albertsons Market location will bring value, quality, and great service to our guests in Lovington,” he said. “We can’t wait to welcome guests through the doors.”
Store Director Markus Stephens said service will be the location’s north star, drawing on his experience operating across New Mexico and Texas.
“I have been serving guests across New Mexico and Texas for a long time and am excited to extend our exceptional service to Lovington,” Stephens said. “This store has a lot of amazing things to offer, but great service will remain at the core of what we do. This team will do their best to make every day great for our guests.”
