International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) CEO David Haaf has stepped down from his position effective Feb. 26, the organization’s board of directors announced.

Chris Schwass, the association’s CFO, has been appointed acting CEO. Schwass, who has 28 years of experience at the Madison-Wisconsin-based organization, will lead operations while the board begins the search for a permanent successor.

Schwass and the leadership team are available to support members and partners during the transition, the association said.

Jeremy Johnson will continue to handle exhibiting, events, sponsorships and meetings. Todd Schroeder oversees finance, accounting and IT, while Kat Shanahan manages media, membership and marketing opportunities.

IDDBA represents the dairy, deli and bakery industries and hosts the annual IDDBA Show conference and expo. The 2026 event is set for June 7-9 in Orlando, Florida.

“We thank David for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors,” the IDDBA board said in a statement. “Our commitment to serving our members remains our top priority, and we’re looking forward to an exciting show in Orlando this year.”
