Fareway Stores Inc. has promoted seven corporate officers for what the Johnston, Iowa-based grocer described as outstanding leadership and contributions to its success.
“These promotions reflect the exceptional talent and dedication of our team,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds Cramer.
“Each individual has demonstrated leadership and commitment to Fareway’s mission of being the best in meat and grocery while serving our customers with gratitude. Together they represent a combined 122 years of experience with Fareway.”
SVP Promotions
Jeff Dighton, who joined Fareway in 2010, is the new SVP of finance and treasurer, having previously served as VP of finance and treasurer.
Roxanne Kanne-Roush advanced to SVP of training and development from her prior role as VP of training and development. She has been with Fareway since 2009.
New VPs
Roger Wirtz, who joined the company in 1983, was named VP of the northern region. He was previously a regional supervisor.
Mark DeYoung was promoted from senior director of retail design to VP of retail construction and maintenance. He has been with Fareway since 2021.
Zach Lane is the new VP of retail systems, rising from his former position as director of retail systems. He joined the company in 2008.
Jeff Boggess, previously senior director of facilities and maintenance, has been promoted to VP of facilities and maintenance. He has worked for Fareway since 2009.
After serving as senior director of marketing, Taylor Blanchard has become assistant VP of marketing. She came aboard last year.
Family-owned Fareway Stores operates 143 locations in a seven-state region. Recognized as a Top 10 employer in Iowa, it has more than 13,000 employees.
