Fareway officers

Fareway Stores Inc. promoted seven corporate officers, recognizing outstanding leadership and contributions to the company’s success, the Johnston, Iowa-based grocer announced Feb. 24.

“These promotions reflect the exceptional talent and dedication of our team,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds Cramer.

“Each individual has demonstrated leadership and commitment to Fareway’s mission of being the best in meat and grocery while serving our customers with gratitude. Together they represent a combined 122 years of experience with Fareway.”

SVP Promotions

Jeff Dighton was promoted to SVP of finance and treasurer, previously serving as VP of finance and treasurer. Dighton joined Fareway in 2010.

Roxanne Kanne-Roush advanced to SVP of training and development, from her prior role as VP of training and development. Kanne-Roush joined Fareway in 2009.

New VPs

Roger Wirtz was named VP of the northern region, after serving as regional supervisor. Wirtz joined Fareway in 1983.

Mark DeYoung was promoted to VP of retail construction and maintenance, previously senior director of retail design. DeYoung joined Fareway in 2021.

Zach Lane advanced to VP of retail systems, from his former position as director of retail systems. Lane joined Fareway in 2008.

Jeff Boggess was named VP of facilities and maintenance, previously senior director of facilities and maintenance. Boggess joined Fareway in 2009.

Taylor Blanchard was promoted to assistant VP of marketing, after serving as senior director of marketing. Blanchard joined Fareway in 2025.

Fareway Stores Inc. is a growing Midwest grocery company, operating 143 stores in a seven-state region. The family-owned business is recognized as a Top 10 employer in Iowa and has more than 13,000 total employees.
