Mohit Anand

Camden, New Jersey-based Campbell’s announced that seasoned global executive Mohit Anand will join the company as EVP and president of its Snacks division on Feb. 23.

Anand succeeds Elizabeth Duggan, who is departing the company after a nearly seven-year tenure that included leading Campbell’s Canadian business and serving as chief transformation officer.

Anand steps into one of the more closely watched roles in the consumer packaged goods world, taking the helm of a portfolio that includes recognizable names in snacking such as Goldfish, Pepperidge Farm, Snyder’s of Hanover, Kettle Brand, Cape Cod and Late July, among others.

He will report directly to President and CEO Mick Beekhuizen and join Campbell’s operating committee as an executive officer.

‘The right to win in snacking’

The appointment comes as Campbell’s looks to reignite growth in its snacks division, which it said has faced headwinds in recent quarters.

Beekhuizen said the company has “the right to win in snacking” and that Anand’s track record of driving sales, improving margins and enhancing operational efficiency made him the right leader to “return our snacks division to sustainable growth.”

Anand brings more than 30 years of food, beverage and CPG experience spanning multiple continents. He most recently served as SVP/GM in the accelerator division of Mars Snacking following Mars’s acquisition of Kellanova, where he had led the frozen food business.

Before that, he oversaw Kellogg’s Snacks operations across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and held leadership roles at Unilever in London. He began his career at Procter & Gamble, spending 15 years in marketing and general management roles across Asia.

With a strong innovation pipeline and what the company describes as an “advantaged distribution network” behind him, Anand will be tasked with translating a marquee brand portfolio into consistent top- and bottom-line results, an issue front and center for investors.
