The Fresh Market has opened a second location in Aventura, Florida, featuring expanded seating and a Roasting Plant where guests can buy freshly roasted premium coffee beans to order.
The specialty grocery retailer celebrated the occasion by breaking a six-foot loaf of Cuban bread. The opening also featured giveaways and sampling, along with a $2,000 donation to Feeding South Florida.
Celebrity Chef Carla Hall made an appearance, visiting with guests and signing autographs.
In addition to a larger footprint and expanded indoor and outdoor seating, the location features an expanded center store concept that includes a café, made-to-order sandwiches, sushi, pizza and smoked-in-house meats.
“We have been a member of the Aventura community for many years and developed a strong connection with our guests,” said Brian Johnson, CEO at The Fresh Market.
“We are excited to offer Aventura an additional location with The Fresh Market’s award-winning service featuring a variety of local and global products, the highest-quality fresh foods and a few new experiences we’re sure our guests will love.”
This is the second South Florida opening in less than a month. A few weeks earlier, The Fresh Market opened a South Miami location. It now has 22 stores in the region.
The Greensboro, North Carolina-based company operates more than 170 grocery stores in 22 states and one spirits and wine store.
The company was rated by USA Today as one of America’s Best Customer Service Companies in 2025 and voted No. 1 in six categories by USA Today‘s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2025, including “Best Grocery Store,” “Best Grocery Store Bakery,” “Best Grocery Store Deli,” “Best Store Produce” and “Best Grocery Store Prepared Foods.”
