The National Grocers Association has announced changes to its board of directors, welcoming nine new members and thanking six outgoing members for their service. The announcement was made during The NGA Show 2026 in Las Vegas.

The incoming board members are Ryan Adams, Gelson’s Markets; Steve Clark, County Fair Food Stores; Jeff Gross, Federated Group Inc.; Ashley Harris, Stepherson’s Inc.; Andrew Kent, Glass Gardens ShopRite; Kevin McDaniel, McDaniel Family Investments dba Piggly Wiggly; Jenny Osner, Hired Man’s Grocery & Grill; Katie Penny, K-VA-T Food Stores Inc.; and Mike Semmann, Wisconsin Grocers Association.

“NGA is excited to welcome this outstanding group of industry leaders to the NGA Board of Directors,” said Greg Ferrara, president and CEO of NGA. “Each of these individuals brings valuable perspective, deep industry experience and a strong commitment to independent grocers. Their leadership will help guide NGA as we continue advocating for our members and strengthening the independent grocery industry.”

NGA also recognized the outgoing board members who concluded their service: John Bole, Yoke’s Foods Inc.; Emily Coborn-Wright, Coborn’s Inc.; Paula Janssen, Janssen’s Markets LLC; Jon McCormick, Retail Grocers Association of Greater Kansas City; Kent Montgomery, PepsiCo Inc.; and Lauren G.D. Redman, Rudy’s Markets Inc.

“We are deeply grateful to our outgoing board members for their dedication, leadership and service to NGA,” Ferrara said. “Their insight and guidance have helped advance our mission and strengthen the independent grocery community. We thank them for their meaningful contributions and lasting impact on NGA.”

The NGA Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the association’s strategic direction and ensuring that the needs of independent grocers remain at the forefront of industry and policy discussions.

The NGA Show 2026 took place Feb. 1-3 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.
