New York-based AppCard has launched Ask Pinky, an artificial intelligence business partner that allows independent grocers to query business data using natural language through a conversational interface,
The tool builds on AppCard’s Pinky 2.0, which delivers digital coupons and promotions to shoppers based on individual spending and behavior.
While Pinky 2.0 continues to drive shopper engagement, Ask Pinky turns the AI’s intelligence toward grocers, allowing them to access real-time insights or dive into years of historical data.
“Ask Pinky is your new AI business partner,” said Amichay Oren, CTO at AppCard. “We’ve hidden the immense complexity of multi-store data processing behind a simple chat bubble. Grocers no longer need to be data scientists to understand their business; they just need to ask.”
Natural language queries access real-time, historical data
Ask Pinky delivers answers in text, charts, PDFs, CSV or other formats needed. Grocers can use simple prompts such as “Hey Pinky, for the upcoming Big Game, what items should I have on sale?” or “Tell me my key sales metrics for this month versus the same time last year.”
The system processes years of data in seconds to provide side-by-side comparisons.
Grocers can also make deeper queries such as “Within the meat category, rank the best items and present in a table the best-performing items versus the least-performing items.”
The tool integrates into the AppCard Management Suite, providing a collaborative foundation for grocers and their success managers to build data-backed promotions and campaigns.
Enterprise-grade security governs access
Access to store data is governed by AppCard Management Suite credentials, ensuring insights remain in the hands of only authorized users.
AppCard is a personalized marketing and shopper analytics platform built for independent grocers. By transforming shopper behavior into actionable insights, it delivers personalized marketing, digital coupons and real-time analytics through one solution.
