Saker ShopRites will open a larger, expanded location Feb. 4 at 733 Route 72 West in Manahawkin, New Jersey.
The new store is more than double the size of the Stafford Square location it is replacing and marks a addition to the Manahawkin Commons shopping center.
Members of the Saker family and local officials will participate in a ribbon cutting at 7 a.m.
The first 200 customers will receive grocery gift bags filled with product samples and coupons. The opening-day celebration also will feature in-store sampling and food trucks.
“With this new Manahawkin location, we’re proud to offer a fresh, modern store filled with amenities that make shopping easier and more enjoyable,” said Richard Saker, CEO and president of Saker ShopRites.
“From locally sourced products and prepared foods to world-class services, this store reflects our promise to deliver quality and care to every customer who walks through our doors.”
The store will feature locally-sourced foods, fresh produce, national brands and ShopRite’s Bowl & Basket, Wholesome Pantry and Paperbird private label lines. An expanded selection of international foods and prepared dishes also will be available.
Store amenities include a pharmacy, Saker ShopRites World Class bakery, meat department with trained butchers, seafood department with fresh catch deliveries, floral shop and full-service deli.
Saker ShopRites hired additional full- and part-time employees ahead of the opening. The family-owned company operates stores in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Mercer counties and is made up of third- and fourth-generation grocers.
ShopRite is the registered trademark of Wakefern Food Corp., a retailer-owned cooperative based in Keasbey, New Jersey.
