Food City presented a $3,000 check on Jan. 21 to Partnership for Families, Children & Adults Inc. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, to benefit the organization’s Camp HOPE project, a trauma-informed summer program for youth.
Partnership for Families, Children and Adults is a nonprofit human services agency serving southeastern Tennessee and North Georgia since 1877.
The organization delivers services promoting safety, stability and self-sufficiency for people and families navigating crisis or transition, including victim support services, elder support programs and offerings for youth and family stability and the deaf and those hard of hearing.
Each summer, youth impacted by trauma attend Camp HOPE in partnership with YMCA Camp Ocoee and Camp HOPE America. The program offers a structured, trauma-informed experience focused on confidence, self-awareness and emotional growth.
Youth participate in outdoor challenges, group activities and guided reflection. The camp environment encourages peer connection, builds resilience and helps youth strengthen skills that support long-term mental health and personal development.
Food City’s parent company K-VA-T Food Stores operates 164 retail outlets throughout southeastern Kentucky, southwestern Virginia, East Tennessee, North Georgia and Alabama. The company is headquartered in Abingdon, Virginia.
