Acosta Group’s Connected Commerce team has formed an alliance with CommerceIQ, integrating the AI-driven retail platform into its agency services to provide automated decision-making capabilities for consumer brands.

The alliance positions Acosta Group Connected Commerce as one of the industry’s first AI-driven agency teams, combining omnichannel execution expertise with CommerceIQ’s automation platform that analyzes digital signals and delivers real-time recommendations for retail media, sales and digital shelf management.

“This partnership enables us to strategically leverage CommerceIQ’s advanced technology and AI-driven capabilities with our own omnichannel expertise, resulting in an ability to act faster, think bigger and deliver stronger results for our clients – critical in today’s fast-moving marketplace,” said John Carroll, president of Connected Commerce for Acosta Group.

Unified platform addresses decision velocity

The integrated technology platform consolidates sales, media and content data into a single system, addressing what both companies describe as an overwhelming pace requiring dozens of decisions per minute in today’s connected commerce environment. The platform transforms fragmented insights into coordinated dashboards and workflows.

Acosta Group works at the intersection of brands and retailers, partnering with more than 3,200 clients including more than 130 billion-dollar brands and leading retailers across grocery, CPG and consumer electronics. Its Connected Commerce team provides omnichannel account management, digital shelf management, retail media, full-service Amazon services and shopper marketing.

CommerceIQ operates as a retail AI platform used by more than 2,200 brands to optimize media investments, improve share of search and drive incremental sales growth. The platform features AI teammates that continuously analyze digital signals to build reports, run optimizations and deliver recommendations designed to outperform traditional rules-based automation systems. The company maintains a global retail network of over 1,450 partners.

“We are gaining a measurable technological edge, accelerating data stitching and unlocking more time for strategic initiatives, joint business planning, creative problem-solving and direct customer engagement,” Carroll said.

CommerceIQ experts join Acosta team

As part of the alliance, client-focused CommerceIQ experts are joining the Acosta Group Connected Commerce team to accelerate adoption and platform utilization. The integration adds technical capabilities to Acosta’s existing services while maintaining operational continuity for clients.

“These new associates further strengthen our ability to deliver the most advanced and innovative end-to-end managed services solutions,” Carroll said.

Rohan Ganeson, president of CommerceIQ, emphasized the strategic alignment between the organizations and their focus on advancing agentic AI to unlock efficiencies across commerce operations.

“This strategic alliance will deliver transformative solutions for our shared clients,” Ganeson said. “Moving forward, we will continue to double down on our platform investments, accelerating innovation and delivering best-in-class solutions, with a key focus on advancing agentic AI to unlock new efficiencies across commerce operations. The additive agency capabilities of Acosta Group provide a powerful advantage to our clients today and looking into the future.”

Both executives highlighted the cultural alignment between their organizations, emphasizing shared values of innovation and client-first focus that support seamless integration for both clients and associates.

“With this partnership, we are building agency solutions that clients are beginning to seek out now but will find essential in the immediate future,” Carroll said.
