Kroger has launched on-demand and same-day delivery through Uber Eats, Uber and Postmates apps at nearly 2,700 stores nationwide, the Cincinnati-based grocer and Uber Technologies announced Jan. 15.

Customers can now order fresh groceries, Kroger’s Our Brands products and household essentials from Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith’s, Fry’s, Harris Teeter, Mariano’s and other Kroger banners through Uber’s platforms. The rollout delivers on a partnership the companies announced in October 2025 to broaden access and convenience for millions of households.

The launch extends beyond Kroger’s floral and sushi shops that were already available on Uber Eats. Shoppers can now browse full store assortments and schedule delivery at their preferred time. Uber is offering discounts up to 50 percent off first orders from Kroger banners to mark the launch. Uber One members receive $0 delivery fees on eligible orders.

“Customers’ needs evolve constantly, and at Kroger, we’re committed to meeting them with solutions that fit every moment with the understanding that what is convenient changes day-to-day,” said Jody Kalmbach, Kroger digital experience and e-commerce group VP. “Collaborating with Uber enables us to deliver even more convenience and flexibility, helping more families access the food they love with ease and reliability.”

Expanding Third-Party Delivery Options

The Uber partnership represents Kroger’s latest third-party delivery expansion following similar nationwide rollouts with DoorDash and Instacart. In fall 2025, Kroger expanded its DoorDash partnership to include stores nationwide and announced plans to use DashMart Fulfillment Services, which relies on delivery-focused facilities DoorDash operates across the country.

Kroger has offered delivery through Instacart for several years and recently announced plans to adopt technology from that company allowing shoppers to build baskets by conversing with an AI-powered online agent.

“Making Kroger’s banners available across Uber’s apps gives shoppers a simple, reliable way to get their weekly groceries or last minute items whenever they need them,” said Hashim Amin, Uber’s North American head of grocery and retail.

When Kroger announced its expanded Uber partnership in October, the grocer said customers would be able to access Uber Eats’ restaurant listings through the Kroger app, significantly expanding food options available. The companies also are offering promotions encouraging use of Kroger’s Boost online membership and Uber’s Uber One membership program.

Over the past year, Uber has updated its grocery delivery platform to provide enhanced service measures including a freshness guarantee. The ride-hailing company added more than 1,000 new retailers globally in 2025 and more than 50,000 retail locations across the U.S. alone before the Kroger integration.
