T.A. Solberg Co. Inc. has promoted Nathan Weitz as president of retail. Bob Jaskolski, who has served as president and CEO, will continue as CEO and focus on long-term strategy while Weitz assumes responsibility for retail operations.
The leadership transition reflects T.A. Solberg’s promote-from-within philosophy. Weitz brings nearly 30 years of grocery industry experience, including more than two decades with the company. He joined T.A. Solberg in 2004 and has advanced through a series of leadership roles, including grocery manager, director of center store merchandising and most recently VP of retail.
“Nate has been a cornerstone of our leadership team for years,” Jaskolski said.
“Watching him grow from a department manager to a corporate leader has been a point of pride for this company. His deep understanding of operational excellence and his commitment to our customers make him the perfect choice to lead our retail operations. Nate’s ability to lead high-caliber teams while staying true to the organization’s core values has been a driving force behind the company’s continued growth.”
As president of retail, Weitz will oversee the strategic direction of T.A. Solberg’s grocery and convenience store divisions, leading all retail operations and ensuring consistent execution of service standards across the company’s locations.
Weitz is described as a hands-on leader with a strong connection to the communities the company serves. He resides locally with his wife and two children and is active in outdoor pursuits, including golf and fishing, when not leading the company’s retail team.
Company leadership said the promotion positions T.A. Solberg for continued growth while maintaining its focus on customer service, operational excellence and community engagement across its diverse retail brands.
