Hy-Vee pharmacy customers can now purchase the newly FDA-approved Wegovy pill for weight management through its collaboration with GoodRx.
The once-daily oral semaglutide medication is available for purchase at Hy-Vee Pharmacy locations across the Midwest at a discounted GoodRx cash price of $149 per month for the two lowest doses (1.5 mg and 4 mg).
Under the partnership, customers with a valid prescription can access the savings in two ways – by presenting a GoodRx coupon for Wegovy at any Hy-Vee Pharmacy or by scanning a RxSmartSaver powered by GoodRx QR code at the pharmacy counter.
Wegovy is approved to support weight management in adults alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It also may help reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with known heart disease. The medication is dispensed through GoodRx pricing and requires a prescription.
Hy-Vee offers nutrition support products and personalized guidance through registered dietitians, available both virtually and in person. These services are designed to complement medication use with broader lifestyle support and may be covered by insurance.
