Grocery Outlet will enter Virginia – its 16th state – when it opens a new store Feb. 12 in Falls Church.
The opening, the first in a series planned across the state, marks a milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy and extends its presence along the East Coast.
Grocery Outlet operates more than 560 stores nationwide and is known for offering name-brand consumables and fresh products at prices 40-70 percent below those of conventional retailers.
“We are thrilled to open our first Grocery Outlet store in Falls Church and give shoppers the best of both worlds: unbeatable treasure-hunt deals on unique finds and significant savings on everyday grocery essentials,” said Jason Potter, CEO of Grocery Outlet.
“This is all part of our commitment to helping families stretch their budgets without sacrificing quality. We’re excited to continue that commitment in Virginia.”
The company said the new store will bring its Xtreme Value proposition – focused on discounted groceries and premium wines – to a new state, providing additional shopping options and value in an area previously unserved by the banner.
