NFRA frozen dairy foods

As Americans move past the holidays and return to everyday routines, frozen and dairy foods are emerging as essential staples that help consumers manage food budgets, reduce waste and simplify daily meal planning, according to a new press release from the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA).

With their longer shelf life and ready-when-needed convenience, frozen and dairy items support a range of eating occasions – from breakfasts and snacks to beverages and weeknight dinners – while helping shoppers make the most of what they buy. These categories offer flexibility for diverse household needs as schedules fill back up after the holiday season.

“January is about getting back into a rhythm that works,” said Kate Landis, senior director of marketing at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association. “Frozen and dairy foods help people restock with intention, stretch their food dollars, and support everyday eating, including balanced nutrition, from morning through night, without making life more complicated.”

The association noted that recent consumer insights show most adults plan to focus on better nutrition in the year ahead and feel confident doing so when meals are built around familiar, easy-to-use foods. Protein-rich options such as eggs, dairy and frozen foods remain foundational for satisfying meals and snacks throughout the day.

To support shoppers in this reset phase, NFRA’s ReDiscover Dairy and Frozen initiative offers tools and resources designed to make everyday eating easier and more enjoyable. These include a ReDiscover Dairy and Frozen Inspiration Guide with simple recipes, meal and snack ideas and practical tips, along with the ReDiscover Dairy and Frozen Sweepstakes, which gives consumers a chance to win grocery gift cards that help with year-round meal planning.

For recipes, inspiration and details about the sweepstakes, consumers are directed to the Easy Home Meals website.
