H-E-B has opened a 120,000-square-foot store near Medina Lake, Texas, which will serve communities on the far western side of San Antonio. photo of customers entering new H-E-B store in San Antonio, pushing carts and waving

Known as the Culebra & 211 H-E-B, the store has features such as H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery with service to the Lakehills, Medina Lake and Mico areas.

It also boasts an H-E-B Pharmacy and True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thrus, and a Texas Backyard featuring plants, grills and other outdoor essentials.

Other store highlights include a bakery featuring artisan breads, cakes and warm tortillas made in-store, a beauty department with a selection of cosmetics and other items, and a Blooms floral department with online ordering and delivery.

The store also features a Cooking Connection with live demos and samplings for recipes, as well as a deli department with an expansive cheese selection and charcuterie station.

Sushiya serves up handmade sushi selections made in-store daily and an Asian grill with rice bowls and teriyaki. H-E-B Meal Simple provides fresh, chef-inspired meals prepared in-store. The produce section has large organic and Texas-grown selections and cold-press juices.

The meat market offers Prime, natural and organic meats, Wagyu and cooked options. The store includes an extensive craft beer and wine section, with a sampling station.

The Healthy Living department features bulk food items, sports nutrition products, supplements and fresh ground nut butters. Shoppers will find Heritage Ranch by H-E-B pet food, as well as toys and treats, in the pet department.

H-E-B designed the store, which has 425 employees, to reflect the character of the surrounding communities. The location incorporates environmental sustainability design elements and several energy-efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units, LED lighting and extensive native landscaping throughout the property.

Based in San Antonio, H-E-B has more than 175,000 employees across some 455 stores in Texas and Mexico.
