Gonnella Baking Co. has acquired Lineage Manufacturing LLC, a producer of frozen dough products, in a move that significantly expands Gonnella’s manufacturing footprint and strengthens its national supply-chain capabilities.

As part of the transaction, Gonnella will continue operating a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located within Lineage’s cold-storage campus in Centralia, Washington. The site operates as Gonnella Frozen Products LLC and represents a major addition to the company’s frozen dough platform amid rising demand across food service and retail channels.
The Centralia operation substantially increases Gonnella’s production capacity and provides enhanced access to West Coast and regional markets. The facility is equipped with advanced sheeting lines, high-speed production systems and a robotic stacking and conveyor operation that connects manufacturing to frozen warehousing. The site also includes an Innovation Center focused on new product development and formula optimization for retail and food service customers.
“Our new Centralia manufacturing space provides improved access to regional markets and significantly reduces distribution times,” said Tony Mazukelli, secretary-officer and director of Schaumburg, Illinois-based Gonnella Baking Co. “It further strengthens our ability to support both existing and new customers.”
With the addition of the Centralia site, Gonnella operates three frozen dough manufacturing facilities located in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Washington, enabling the company to serve customers across the continental U.S. with greater flexibility. Mazukelli said the expanded footprint improves production resilience and helps mitigate the impact of transportation and freight volatility.
The Centralia operation has 39 employees and includes 1,600 pallet positions of frozen warehouse capacity. Gonnella said the facility’s automation and production scale enhance consistency, efficiency and service reliability across its national network.
Lineage Inc. operates a frozen distribution center within the same Centralia building and will continue to provide long-term production, warehousing and distribution support to Gonnella nationwide.
“We are very thrilled to continue supporting Gonnella as they expand their operations on the West Coast,” said Tim Smith, chief commercial officer at Lineage. “This acquisition exemplifies a differentiated way Lineage helps customers scale their businesses.”
The acquisition highlights Gonnella’s long-term growth strategy and continued investment in capacity, innovation and customer service across retail and food service channels.
