Harris Teeter has unveiled a new, comprehensive wellness program titled “Happier, Healthier with Harris Teeter,” designed to help customers achieve their health and nutrition goals through enhanced in-store offerings, digital tools and personalized support. The initiative will roll out in stores and online throughout January.

The program spans all store departments and introduces an expanded line of products and services focused on improved nutrition and healthy living. A central component is the launch of the Simple Truth Protein line, which features breakfast items, snacks, ready-to-heat meals and pantry staples that are protein-packed, free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, and designed to support a range of dietary needs.

To make healthier choices easier to identify, Harris Teeter is enhancing smart product attribute tagging that highlights nutritional features such as high protein, no added sugar, non-GMO and gluten-free across product aisles. Shoppers also will gain access to new digital nutrition data, including the FoodHealth Score in the Harris Teeter app, which evaluates products based on nutrient density and ingredient quality to assist customers in comparing and selecting wholesome options.

In addition to product innovation and digital guidance, the initiative provides free nutrition coaching for all VIC card households. Each eligible household can schedule a 30-minute virtual consultation with a licensed registered dietitian at no cost (nutrition coaching is not available in South Carolina). These sessions will focus on meal planning, healthy eating strategies and how to use Harris Teeter’s digital tools to track and improve nutritional choices.

Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs and customer relations for Harris Teeter, said the initiative is intended to “equip every customer with the tools and information they need to make smarter, more informed nutrition decisions.” She noted that by supporting steps toward healthier eating, the program aims to enhance overall well-being for customers.

Happier, Healthier with Harris Teeter reflects the grocer’s broader commitment to customer health and wellness, building on its investments in pharmacy services, fresh produce, dietitian support and digital nutrition education. The initiative is expected to drive engagement and offer a holistic suite of resources as customers set wellness goals for 2026 and beyond.
