Whole Foods Market opened the fifth location of its smaller format store concept, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, Dec. 18 at 101 Washington St. in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The 4,851-square-foot location features more than 350 items from the Northeast, each meeting Whole Foods Market’s quality standards.

“Opening our first store in Hoboken is an exciting milestone, and we’re grateful for the warm welcome from the neighborhood,” said Victor Luciano, store team leader for Whole Foods Market Daily Shop.

“We look forward to providing the community with great service, grocery essentials that meet our high quality standards and quick grab and go meals to make their lives easier.”

On opening morning, customers received samples from local suppliers Abe’s and Nguyen Coffee Supply, and the first 300 customers got a limited-edition tote bag.

To mark the occasion, Whole Foods Market contributed in-kind product to support the work of Table to Table. The grocer also will donate to local nonprofits The Hoboken Shelter and Hoboken Community Center.

A future Whole Foods Market Daily Shop location is opening in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood in early 2026.

Founded in 1980, Austin-based Whole Foods Market is a natural and organic foods retailer and the first certified organic national grocer in the United States.

Part of Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores, it operates more than 545 stores across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
