GrubMarket has named Jorge deNeve as its new chief legal officer, adding a legal and governance executive to its leadership team as the company continues to scale its technology and food supply chain platforms.
DeNeve brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and securities law. His background includes service as an enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and more recently as a partner at international law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he advised global companies operating in highly regulated environments.
In his role at GrubMarket, deNeve will oversee the company’s legal function, with responsibility for governance, compliance frameworks and risk management as the organization expands its AI-driven software, digital commerce and food supply chain operations.
“I am excited to join GrubMarket at such an important stage in the company’s growth,” deNeve said.
“Drawing on my experience as a partner at O’Melveny advising companies and as an enforcement attorney at the SEC, I look forward to supporting GrubMarket’s mission to transform the food supply chain through technology and AI. As the company continues to scale its software, AI and digital commerce platforms, I am eager to partner with the leadership team to help strengthen the legal and governance foundations that enable long-term innovation, responsible growth and operational excellence.”
In his years at O’Melveny, deNeve worked closely with executive leadership teams and boards of directors on governance matters, disclosure practices, compliance programs and long-term risk mitigation strategies. His work often focused on the intersection of business strategy, regulation and corporate oversight.
His experience as an SEC enforcement attorney provided him with first-hand insight into regulatory expectations, disclosure standards and enforcement priorities. That background has shaped his approach to building proactive legal and governance frameworks designed to support sustainable growth.
DeNeve has been recognized by Lawdragon on its 2025 “500 Global Leaders in Crisis Management” list, by The Best Lawyers in America 2026 for securities litigation and by Securities Docket as a 2025 “Enforcement Elite” for his work in SEC enforcement defense. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience supporting organizations with global operations and cross-border considerations.
“Jorge brings exceptional legal expertise and a deep understanding of governance and regulatory best practices,” said GrubMarket CEO Mike Xu.
“His experiences as a partner at OMM and as a former SEC enforcement attorney uniquely position him to help GrubMarket continue to build durable systems and processes, maintain high operational standards and support our long-term vision as we scale our software, AI and global operations.”
