According to new survey data from The Harris Poll conducted on behalf of Redner’s Markets, more than half of Americans who don’t typically serve beef for Christmas dinner (54 percent) say they would consider it, suggesting the dish could be gaining momentum.
Already, two out of five Americans (43 percent) serve beef as a main dish for Christmas dinner, and among those who do, many say it is because they’re looking for a break from the usual holiday meat options (44 percent) or find it easy to prepare (39 percent).
For those who do not serve beef as a main dish at Christmas, the survey found cost (27 percent), a break from traditional meats (22 percent) and convenience (19 percent) matter.
That’s why Redner’s Markets is introducing its bone-in strip roast – available through Christmas at all Redner’s Warehouse Markets and Fresh Markets – at a price point and prep level that may work for holiday hosts.
“As we talk with our customers, it’s clear that the holiday table is changing,” said Ryan Redner, president and CEO of Redner’s Markets.
“People still want meals that feel special, but they’re also looking for options that fit their budget, their schedule and their tastes. We focus on meeting customers where they are and offering simple ways to put a new spin on traditions they already love.”
To help home cooks, Redner’s has created a resource hub at rednersmarkets.com/steaks, featuring cooking tips and preparation guidance designed to make hosting easier and more stress-free.
Survey method
