Gelson’s Markets is expanding its reach beyond Southern California with the launch of nationwide shipping for its artisanal cheese boxes, allowing customers across the continental U.S. to experience the grocer’s curated specialty food offerings for the first time.
The supermarket chain said the new program brings its in-store cheese expertise to a broader audience through a selection of carefully assembled gourmet collections. The cheese boxes are curated under the direction of Lisa Ali, Gelson’s cheese and specialty foods expert, who is also an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional and International Dairy Deli Bakery Association Salumiere Professional with more than 25 years of experience.
Each box features a refined assortment of cheeses paired with complementary accompaniments, reflecting the company’s longstanding focus on craftsmanship and presentation. Gelson’s said the offerings are designed for gifting, entertaining or at-home enjoyment, and arrive ready to serve.
The program includes three curated collections:
- California Dreaming Collection, highlighting handcrafted cheeses inspired by the Golden State, including truffle-accented and honey-drizzled selections.
- American Artisan Collection, showcasing aged and balanced cheeses from leading U.S. cheesemakers with complementary pairings.
- Epicurean Collection, featuring globally inspired cheeses and accompaniments designed to deliver a broad range of flavors.
The boxes are priced between $99 and $119 and may include items such as creamy brie, aged gouda, truffle-infused cheeses and a selection of sweet and savory condiments. Gelson’s said the packaging and shipping process ensures products arrive fresh and in optimal condition.
“This is more than just a new product for us; it represents a way to share a taste of Gelson’s with people who know and love our stores, as well as those discovering us for the first time,” said Rich Gilmore, VP of center store at Gelson’s. “With this launch, Gelson’s is also expanding what it means to shop with us while staying true to what defines us – expert selection, premium ingredients and thoughtful presentation.”

According to the company, the team has spent years refining their expertise through tastings, training and travel to ensure each cheese and pairing works together cohesively.
All cheese boxes ship with free FedEx Standard Overnight delivery within the continental United States. Orders placed by 8 a.m. PST Monday through Friday ship the same day, while orders placed after 8 a.m. on Friday ship the following Monday. Shipping will be paused on Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for the holiday season.
