Big Y Foods Inc. has announced plans for a new store in Pembroke, Massachusetts, scheduled to open in spring or summer 2026. The location joins two stores announced in Fairhaven and North Dartmouth, marking the company’s expansion into new communities across the region.
The 38,000-square-foot store will be located at Pembroke Plaza, 24 Mattakeesett St., in a space that was home to Stop & Shop. The Pembroke location marks Big Y’s continued growth in eastern Massachusetts.
“These three new stores represent a significant milestone in Big Y’s ongoing expansion into new towns throughout Massachusetts,” said Michael D’Amour, president and CEO of Big Y. “With new locations in Pembroke, Fairhaven and North Dartmouth, we’re excited to become a part of new communities that we can serve and create welcoming spaces where customers feel at home.”
The company said additional details, including hiring opportunities and grand opening events, will be announced in the coming months.
