ShopRite Store Render

On Dec. 7, Zallie Family Markets will open the ShopRite of Cherrywood Plaza, an 85,000-square-foot store at 1468 Blackwood Clementon Road in Clementon, New Jersey. The new location replaces the ShopRite of Laurel Hill, which served the community for 52 years at 1224 Blackwood-Clementon Road.

The family-owned South Jersey retailer will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m.

“Our family is proud to open the doors to the new ShopRite of Cherrywood Plaza,” said David Zallie, chairman and CEO of Zallie Family Markets. “This store reflects our ongoing pursuit of innovation and excellence, and we are excited to offer our guests a top shopping experience supported by the amenities and fresh food offerings and recipes that define Zallie Family Markets.”

Store Features

The new store includes Zallie’s Fresh Kitchen Catering, an Asian wok and sushi bar, an indoor café, a full hot food bar with grilled selections, an international cheese department, floral and gift department, and ShopRite Pharmacy. Online ordering with pickup and delivery is also available.

Grand Opening Celebration

The grand opening will feature live entertainment including magicians, balloon artists, stilt walkers and a DJ, along with face painting, caricature portraits and food sampling. Santa will make a holiday appearance.

Continued Investment

The opening represents the latest investment for Zallie Family Markets, which celebrated 50 years in the supermarket business in 2023. The company operates 11 ShopRite stores in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.

“We have been part of the community for more than 50 year, and we are so grateful for the support as we look forward to welcoming both longtime and new guests,” Zallie said.

ShopRite is a registered trademark of Wakefern Food Corp., a retailer-owned cooperative based in Keasbey, N.J.
