Fareway Stores Inc. has broken ground on a new location in Coal Valley, Illinois, marking the beginning of construction on a 17,000-square-foot store at the corner of 1st Street and Route 6.
The project is slated for completion in fall 2026.
“Communities depend on a local grocer to offer high-quality products at affordable prices with unmatched service,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “We look forward to bringing these qualities to Coal Valley and area residents with a new Fareway store. We also appreciate the support of city officials and local leaders in making this project possible.”
