“At Hannaford, we take great pride in partnering with local businesses like Fireking Baking Company that share our passion for quality and care,” said Sherri Stevens, community impact manager.

“This festive holiday bread brings together the best of our region – great food, great people and a shared commitment to giving back.”

A longtime Hannaford partner recognized for its premium artisan breads, Fireking will bake about 20,000 fresh loaves for the offering.

“We are so happy and proud to be a part of this partnership with Hannaford and the Boys and Girls Club,” said Chris Gregg, VP of sales and business development at Fireking.

“Our goal in working with Hannaford was to create an exceptional bread that customers would be proud to put on their tables to enjoy with friends and family. Being able to pay it forward and help local communities makes this process even more rewarding for all of us.”

Among the beneficiaries are Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine; Boys and Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster in Massachusetts; Boys and Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire; Boys and Girls Club of Ulster County in New York; and Boys and Girls Club of Burlington in Vermont.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Hannaford for choosing to support the Boys and Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster through this holiday offering,” said Jeff Bercume, CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster. “Their generosity directly fuels the mentoring, safety and opportunity our kids rely on every day.”

In 2024, Scarborough, Maine-based donated more than 27.6 million pounds of food to hunger-relief organizations and supported about 135 community partners across its footprint, helping expand access to fresh food, advance youth development and support healthier lives.

The retailer operates stores in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont, with nearly 30,000 employees.
