Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace held a grand opening Nov. 14 for a new store at 5181 Sunrise Hwy. in Bohemia, New York, bringing its old-world shopping experience to Suffolk County on Long Island.

The 39,000-square-foot store opened at 7 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m.
The store features a full-service deli, scratch-made bakery, custom-cut meat department, fresh produce, seafood, gourmet cheese and specialty Italian imports. It also offers home delivery and curbside pickup.
Grand-opening festivities included music, giveaways, raffles and appearances by local civic and business leaders.
The store also cracked a 900-pound imported provolone cheese from Italy and donated 200 turkeys to Island Harvest Food Bank.
The grocer shared that stores are planned in Greenvale, opening in the second quarter of next year, and Levittown, opening in the fourth quarter.
