Village Super Market has debuted a expanded Kosher Market at the ShopRite in Livingston, New Jersey, on Nov. 6 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring members of the Sumas family ownership, store management and Rabbi Teichman from the Vaad of MetroWest.

The store marks the beginning of a new era in kosher shopping, providing expanded variety and value for customers.
The store boasts one of the most comprehensive kosher destinations in the area, with product variety increased by more than 50 percent.
The redesigned space brings together Kosher deli, prepared foods, meat, grocery, dairy, frozen and seafood into one location, making it easier than ever for customers to find everything they need.
Highlights of the expanded ShopRite in Livingston include:
- Kosher Grocery (Aisle 16): The grocery aisle has more than doubled in size — from 65 feet to more than 150 feet — giving customers 53 percent more choices. The selection has grown from 800 items to more than 1,500.
- Kosher Frozen (Aisle 15): All frozen items are now located in one spot, including blintzes, gefilte fish, matzo ball soup, kosher pizzas, snacks and desserts.
- Kosher Meat: Customers can choose from more than 30 varieties of freshly-cut beef, lamb and veal, prepared daily by in-store butchers. Special requests are welcome —briskets, ribs and turkeys can be custom cut.
- Kosher Dairy: The dairy section features more than 80 new items, including cheeses, herrings, spreads and desserts, all meeting the high kosher standards.
- Kosher Deli and Prepared Foods: Shoppers will find more than 100 freshly-made items, such as pulled kosher rotisserie chicken and Gabila’s famous knishes. Traditional favorites like matzo ball soup and kugel are also available from its Shuk Kosher Kitchen, as well as 10 varieties of freshly-rolled sushi daily.
- Kosher Seafood: Certified selections sourced from the cleanest waters, including Faroe Island salmon and Atlantic flounder, ensure quality and freshness.
- Kosher Catering: Available from its Shuk Kosher Kitchen for special events, as well as all occasion options.
“This expansion is an incredible moment for Livingston,” said Nico Sumas, president of Village Super Market. “Our goal was to create a destination that delivers unmatched convenience, variety and value – making it easier than ever for local shoppers to find all their kosher needs in one place.”
