Schnucks Markets in Battle Crossing, Missouri

Through Nov. 11, Schnuck Markets Inc. is hosting a food drive at all 113 stores to support local food banks and pantries as demand grows due to SNAP benefits being paused because of the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Customers will be able to donate food items by purchasing them and then placing them in the donation barrels/bins that will be located in each store.

The most requested items are shelf-stable, non-perishables such as: light tuna or salmon (canned or packaged); canned chicken or meat; soup, chili or stews with meat and beans; canned fruit; diced tomatoes/tomato paste; canned spaghetti sauces; canned beans; instant brown rice; whole wheat pasta; boxed meal kits; canned vegetables; dried spices: chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, basil; and deodorant/toothbrushes/toothpaste.

“This food drive is an extension of our company’s mission to nourish people’s lives as well as our community pillar to fight hunger and food insecurity in the communities we serve,” said Schnucks EVP of Supermarkets Ted Schnuck.

“Each day, our store teams partner with food pantries in their respective neighborhoods, giving products that total more than $15 million of in-kind donations annually.”

The company also will continue to work with long-time community partners such as United Way, Urban League and The Salvation Army to help get food to those in need.

In addition to its community efforts, Schnucks also works with shoppers to help them stretch their food dollar further throughout the year. Here are several ways customers can save while shopping at Schnucks:

  • Schnucks Rewards – Customers can download the Schnucks Rewards app and get 2 percent cash back on all purchases at Schnucks, as well as hundreds of digital coupons each week and other personalized savings. The new Boosts feature available in the app offers frequent shoppers more ways to save.
  • Weekly Ad – The best deals can be found in the weekly ad. The ad can be found in-store and on the app and website.
  • Great Low Prices – Look for Schnucks’ “Great Low Price” and “New Lower Price” signs on many items that are the most important to customers, including more than 3,000 items throughout the store that were reduced in price in 2025.
  • Schnucks Brand Products – Schnucks offers a variety of value-priced items to provide customers with high-quality products that save their wallets. Customers can find more than 5,000 of these items, including store brands such as Schnucks, Culinaria, Simply Done, TopCare, Full Circle, Paws/Pure Harmony and Tippy Toes.
  • Fresh Departments Check Schnucks fresh departments for great savings on “Manager’s Specials” as the sell-by date nears. Customers should look for the orange tags.
  • Upside – Schnucks customers can use the free Upside app to access cashback promotions. Customers simply click “Check In” and Upside verifies each transaction behind the scenes.
  • DoorDash – DoorDash and Schnucks are covering the cost of delivery and service fees for SNAP recipients in November. Customers who have linked a SNAP/EBT card to their DoorDash profile can shop and have their delivery and service fees waived on one order.
