H-E-B Rockwall

H-E-B has opened its 10th location in the DFW Metroplex at 1600 E Interstate 30 in Rockwall, Texas.

The 131,000-square-foot store joins nine other H-E-B locations and two Joe V’s Smart Shops the retailer has opened in the area since 2022. H-E-B also operates six Central Markets throughout North Texas.

“With our new store in Rockwall, we’re excited to grow our presence to the east in North Texas, allowing us to serve more Texans,” said Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B’s EVP of North West Food/Drug. “Our partners are passionate about providing our customers a friendly and engaging shopping experience with the best H-E-B has to offer.”

Inside and out, the store reflects the character of the Rockwall community. Its design also emphasizes environmental sustainability, incorporating several energy efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.

The store has features such as a True Texas barbecue restaurant and H-E-B pharmacy, both with drive-thrus, and curbside and home delivery services with a large curbside parking area.

Additional store highlights include:

  • Bakery featuring handmade artisan breads, cakes and warm tortillas made in-store daily;
  • Deli department with an expansive cheese selection and charcuterie island;
  • Sushiya offers handmade sushi selections made in-store daily and an Asian grill with rice bowls and teriyaki;
  • H-E-B Meal Simple with fresh, convenient chef-inspired meals prepared in-store;
  • Cooking Connection with live demonstrations and samplings for easy recipes to make at home;
  • Produce section with large organic and Texas-grown selections;
  • Meat market with natural and organic meats, Wagyu and fully cooked options;
  • Blooms floral department, offering online ordering and delivery service;
  • As the No. 1 beer and wine retailer in Texas, the store has an extensive craft beer and wine section with a sampling station;
  • Healthy Living department with bulk food items, sports nutrition products and supplements;
  • Expansive frozen foods selection;
  • Beauty department with a selection of cosmetics and other beauty essentials;
  • Pet department featuring Heritage Ranch by H-E-B pet food, toys and treats;
  • Household Essentials department, including seasonal disposable plates, bowls and utensils, and Texas Tough brand including the Texas Tough value pack; and
  • Customers can get additional saving by shopping with the H-E-B-branded debit and credit cards, which gives 5 percent cash back on qualifying H-E-B brand products as well as other perks and benefits.

To mark the occasion, H-E-B made donations totaling $20,000 to local nonprofits. Two gifts of $10,000 each supported Patriot Paws, a nonprofit that trains and provides service dogs at no cost to disabled military veterans, and the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas.

In the DFW Metroplex, H-E-B has opened stores in Plano, McKinney, Allen, Alliance, Mansfield, Melissa and Prosper, as well as two stores in Frisco. The company also has announced plans for stores in Irving, Murphy, Mid-Cities, Forney and Denton.

Earlier this year, the retailer bought land at Hillcrest Road and LBJ Freeway, a site being considered for the company’s first H-E-B store in Dallas.

On the same day, H-E-B opened a new Houston-area store at 29711 Jordan Crossing Blvd. in Katy, Texas. The 116,000-square-foot location also will serve Fulshear.
