Bob Jaskolski, a 40-plus year veteran of the grocery industry and current president and CEO of T.A. Solberg Inc., has been named the inaugural recipient of the Wisconsin Grocers Association (WGA) Lifetime Achievement Award.
This honor celebrates a career serving with excellence, innovation and service, recognizing those who have made lasting contributions to the grocery industry and their communities.

Jaskolski’s career exemplifies leadership, advocacy and a commitment to advancing the industry in Wisconsin. His influence extends from local communities to the state and national levels. He currently serves as the chair of the Wisconsin Grocers Association Board of Directors through 2025 and has served on the National Grocers Association Board of Directors. He also was recognized in 2020 as the Wisconsin Grocers Association’s Grocer of the Year.
“Bob’s leadership has strengthened not only Trig’s and the stores he has worked with but Wisconsin’s grocery industry and the Wisconsin Grocers Association. His active involvement in both industry and association events and activities has inspired many and is greatly appreciated,” said Mike Semmann, WGA’s CEO and president.
Jaskolski involvement in the grocery industry includes more than 30 years with SuperValu and nearly a decade at the helm of T.A. Solberg Co. His strategic vision has helped Trig’s stay ahead of industry trends, developing innovative shopping experiences and programs for guests.
At the same time, Jaskolski remains ground in the communities Trig’s serve. He has played an important part of Trig’s extensive community involvement, especially in addressing childhood food insecurity. He helped to create a long-term partnership with the backpack programs, where Trig’s helps to fill hundreds of bags of food, donated by and many times distributed by Trig’s associates.
“Helping grow strong teams and empowering people to see opportunity within themselves is a legacy Bob continues to build,” Semmann said.
Jaskolski takes a hands-on approach to leadership and merchandising, ensuring each Trig’s location is tailored to meet the unique needs of its community. His commitment to delivering a fresh, high-quality shopping experience keeps T.A. Solberg Co. thriving in a changing retail landscape.
He was honored as the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Wisconsin Grocers Association Innovation Expo on Sept. 30. To be eligible for the award, recipients must have dedicated more than 25 years to the grocery industry, made a lasting impact on business operations and community development, and championed innovation, advocacy and mentorship. Nominations for the next WGA Lifetime Achievement Award/s will open in April 2026.
