In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Associated Grocers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has introduced a new corporate logo.
The milestone year has already brought achievements for the company. Associated Grocers Inc. was ranked No. 9 on the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Top 100 Private Companies list and was named 2025 Wholesaler of the Year by The Shelby Report of the Southeast.
The honors represent the strength, dedication and reputation that have defined Associated Grocers for decades. The company has long been recognized as an industry leader and expert, providing exceptional service and support to independent retail grocers.
Future focused, Associated Grocers is taking a significant step forward. The new brand representation is symbolic of the renowned food culture unique to the Gulf Coast marketplace that it serves.
AG is synonymous with culture – the spirit of family, friends and good times, centered around the dinner table, the backyard grill or the boiling pot. The new logo speaks to the communities of which the company and its retail members have always been a part.
“We wanted our logo to be immediately recognizable to the consumer,” said David Politz, Associated Grocers’ president and CEO. “We are the only full-line grocery wholesaler that is from Louisiana – that means something in the food business.
“When you see the AG with the fleur-de-lis, you know you are shopping with experts in our local cuisine and can expect the absolute best in quality and flavor, especially in fresh departments – all delivered with incomparable customer service.”
Associated Grocers has more than 200 retail members in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Arkansas. The company was founded in 1950 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by 17 families. It provides a wide range of solutions to help grocers thrive in today’s marketplace.
