Food City held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 8 for a newly expanded and remodeled Food City store on Crimson Drive in Trenton, Georgia.
The grand re-opening celebration includes special pricing on select items throughout the store.
“Our customers will find the same smiling faces, top quality products, exceptional customer service and competitive pricing they have come to expect from Food City, along with some exciting new services and conveniences,” said Steven C. Smith, Food City president and CEO.
Nearly 12,000 square feet of retail space has been added to the store, bringing the total to 53,400 square feet and creating 60 new area jobs. The expansion includes the addition of several new amenities, including a Starbucks café offering blended hot and cold coffees and beverages, an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and pastries, Food City Gas n’ Go featuring top quality fuel and diesel, a Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union branch location providing a full range of financial services and several self-checkout units. A drive-thru window has been added to the Food City Pharmacy for customer convenience.
The food service department has been enlarged to incorporate some new services, including a fresh food bar featuring a variety of soup, salad and fruit selections, Asian Wok, hickory wood smoker, brick oven pizza, fresh sushi, sub sandwich bar, fireplace and internet service. Service cases also have been added to the meat and seafood departments, and curbside pickup, Door Dash and home delivery are available for customers wishing to shop online.
“I would like to thank our loyal customers for their understanding and patience during the construction process,” said Store Manager Brooke Seals. “I think our customers will agree that these exciting new services were well worth the wait.”
