Hy-Vee Inc. is acquiring the County Market store at 220 S. 18th Ave. in Wausau, Wisconsin.
The store will close at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 and reopen on Nov. 18 as a Hy-Vee.
Hy-Vee also is taking over the adjacent Circle K convenience store, which will be rebranded as a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh location.
“We’re excited to have this opportunity to be part of the Wausau community,” said Kory Robinson, regional VP for Hy-Vee’s Madison region. “We look forward to bringing Hy-Vee’s quality, convenience and culinary expertise to customers next month and to being part of the local community.”
All 130 full-time and part-time employees of the County Market will be offered positions with Hy-Vee. They will have access to Hy-Vee benefits, including a weekly 10 percent discount on groceries, holiday pay, free Hy-Vee PERKS Plus premium membership, a tuition assistance program and insurance for full- and part-time employees.
