In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, ShopRite and Unilever will host a series of Juntos (“Together”) events in October that celebrate Hispanic culture, family and community through interactive experiences and community-focused programming.

The Juntos event series will take place from noon-4 p.m. at four ShopRites across New York and New Jersey:

  • Oct. 4 at 1994 Bruckner Blvd. in Bronx, New York;
  • Oct. 5 at 3147 John F. Kennedy Blvd. in North Bergen, New Jersey;
  • Oct. 11 at 503 Paulison Ave. in Passaic, New Jersey; and
  • Oct. 12 at 637 W. Edgar Road at Aviation Plaza North in Linden, New Jersey.

Each stop will feature music, beauty activations and a variety of sampling stations from Unilever’s food and personal care portfolio, along with an ice cream stand.

Photo opportunities also will be available. Each event is designed to be festive, offering a space where shoppers can connect with Unilever’s brands while celebrating heritage and community.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate four incredible years of the Juntos program with Unilever. Together, we’re honoring what matters most – family, community and the vibrant traditions of Hispanic culture,” said Darren Caudill, chief sales officer of Wakefern Food Corp., the supermarket cooperative and merchandising and distribution arm for ShopRite stores.

“At ShopRite, we’re committed to bringing you the brands you love, the value you deserve and the community support that makes you proud to shop with us.”

As part of the Juntos celebrations, Unilever and ShopRite will donate $30,000 through the ShopRite Partners In Caring (SRPIC) hunger-fighting initiative to organizations in the communities where the stores are located.

In addition, SRPIC and the Cuellar family, owners and operators of the ShopRite in Passaic, will make a $5,000 donation to the Passaic Community College Food Pantry.

“Juntos is all about coming together – and that means lending a hand where it’s needed most,” said Alexandra Emery, manager of sustainability and corporate social responsibility for ShopRite. “We’re proud to support local organizations that are making a real difference in the fight against hunger.”

Guests also will enjoy exclusive in-store promotions on Unilever products during the first two weeks of October.

“At Unilever, we believe in the power of community and the importance of connecting with our shoppers on a personal level. These Juntos events are a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with people and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month together with ShopRite,” said Twyla Bailey, SVP of sales for foods.
