Cingari Family Markets, a family-owned and operated Connecticut-based supermarket company, has begun renovations at its ShopRite of Southbury at 775 Main St. S. in Southbury, Connecticut.
The renovation, part of Cingari Family Markets’ investment in its stores across southwestern Connecticut, will bring a fresh, modern look and a host of new amenities to enhance the shopping experience for the Southbury community. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed by late fall. The store will remain open throughout the renovation, with most work scheduled during overnight hours to minimize disruption to shoppers.
“This renovation reflects our continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our Southbury customers,” said Thomas Cingari Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family Markets.
“We look forward to providing an upgraded shopping experience with more fresh food choices, expanded services and sustainable features that align with our mission of quality, convenience and community care.”
Highlights of the ShopRite of Southbury renovation include:
- Expanded grab-and-go meal options: Customers will find a larger variety of prepared, ready-to-eat and take-and-bake meals including marinated meats, seafood selections such as salmon and scallops, and house-made entrées and sides from the Cingari Family Markets private label line.
- Enhanced floral and produce departments: The remodel will deliver a reimagined produce section featuring locally-sourced and seasonal items, as well as a refreshed floral department for all occasions.
- Upgraded specialty departments: The bakery, seafood, deli, meat, dairy and frozen sections will all be modernized, with a focus on product variety and improved customer flow.
- Sustainability upgrades: New energy-efficient refrigeration and freezer units will reduce the store’s carbon footprint, while updated aisle lighting will enhance visibility and shopping convenience.
The Southbury renovation is part of Cingari Family Markets’ broader initiative to upgrade its stores across the region.
Family-owned and operated for more than 90 years, Cingari Family Markets owns 10 ShopRites and two Cingari Family Markets in southwestern Connecticut. The company remains committed to sustainability, customer-focused innovation and investing in its employees.
