The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) will host its 2025 Fall Legislative Conference on Oct. 7-8 at the Hershey Country Club, bringing together leaders from Pennsylvania’s food and beverage industry for two days of policy discussion, strategic updates and networking.

This year’s conference will feature Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday as the keynote speaker during the dinner on Oct. 7, where he will address the work of the Organized Retail Crime Task Force and highlight growing partnerships between law enforcement and Pennsylvania’s retail, wholesale and food distribution sectors.

Additional featured panelists include Pennsylvania House Appropriations Chairman Jordan Harris and State Representative Chairman Jim Struzzi, both of whom will join the State Policy Update panel to discuss critical legislative priorities impacting the food and beverage industry.

Attendees will hear from top legal, policy and industry voices in a series of focused sessions:

  • Alcohol Update: Presented by Flaherty & O’Hara, with R.J. O’Hara, senior counsel and founder, this session will cover major changes in Pennsylvania alcohol laws and provide a forward-looking legal perspective.
  • State Policy Update: Featuring a bipartisan panel that includes Harris and Struzzi, this session will explore state-level policy issues that affect the food and beverage industry.
  • Wholesalers Meeting: A members-only session focused on wholesale-specific trends, opportunities and challenges.
  • Federal Policy Update: Leaders from key national associations will provide an update on federal policy. Featured speakers include Stephanie Johnson, NGA’s VP of government relations; Jennifer Hatcher, chief public policy officer at FMI; and Sarah Gallo, SVP of product policy and federal affairs at the Consumer Brands Association.

“The Fall Legislative Conference continues to be one of the most important gatherings for our industry,” said Alex Baloga, PFMA president and CEO. “From Attorney General Dave Sunday to Representatives Jordan Harris and Jim Struzzi, we’re proud to welcome key state leaders who are shaping the future of our industry.”
