H-E-B opened a new store Sept. 17 at 10110 RM 2338 in Georgetown, Texas, the retailer’s third location in the fast-growing suburb of Austin.
Known as the Parmer Ranch H‑E‑B, it features a pharmacy with covered, five-lane drive-thru service, 12-pump fuel station with car wash and Texas Backyard, which offers products for gardening and outdoor entertaining. The store also has H-E-B curbside with covered parking and home delivery.
“We’re excited to officially welcome the Parmer Ranch community and surrounding areas to their new H-E-B,” said Cathy Harm, SVP of Central Texas. “For nearly 60 years, we’ve been proud to serve the Georgetown community, and now Texans in this growing area can enjoy a store that offers the very best of H-E-B.”
With an exterior design created just for this location, the store also incorporates environmental sustainability design elements and energy-efficient features, such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.
To mark the opening, H-E-B donated $20,000, with $5,000 each going to the Helping Hands of Georgetown, The Locker, The Caring Place and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.
In 1966, the company opened its first Georgetown H-E-B store at 600 W. University Ave., a 21,000-square-foot location that operated until 1989. That year, it was replaced by a 67,000-square-foot store at 1100 South Interstate 35, which closed in 2023 and was replaced by the Wolf Lakes Village H-E-B. The retailer also operates a 96,000-square-foot store at 4500 Williams Drive.
