The Giant Company recently hosted its annual Floral Seminar, welcoming nearly 200 floral team members for a day of training, creativity and celebration. The event featured learning sessions, a design competition, business updates and preparation for the upcoming holiday season.

As part of the seminar, 12 floral leads from across the company were recognized as top performers in their respective regions:

  • Lauren Currie, Lionville, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Fiona Duckworth, Middletown, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Caitlin Finnery, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Max Gilbert, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Alexis Hassinger, State College, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Emily Manning, Harleysville, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Marguerite Preston, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Teagan Seely, Front Royal, Virginia, Martin’s;
  • Elissa Schleder, Coplay, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Joan States, Richboro, Pennsylvania, Giant;
  • Cassandra Webb, Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, Giant; and
  • Deb Widger, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, Giant.

“Our annual floral seminar has become a signature event for learning, sharing ideas and, of course, designing, as part of our commitment to helping our team members grow,” said Kevin Prill, category manager, floral, The Giant Company. “With sessions from some of the best in the business, a state-of the business review and a ‘friendly’ design competition, our floral team is newly inspired to help our customers celebrate the big and little moments, and all the in-betweens.”

In addition to team recognition, The Giant Company also honored three vendor partners. The Elite Flower and Hionis Greenhouses each received the Best Category Support Award, while Beth O’Reilly with Dutchess Bouquets was presented with the Vendor Recognition Award.
