The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) will hold its 2025 Fall Legislative Conference Oct. 7-8 at the Hershey Country Club, bringing together leaders from the state’s food and beverage industry for two days of policy discussion, strategic updates and networking.
This year’s conference will feature Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday as the keynote speaker during dinner Oct. 7. He will address the work of the Organized Retail Crime Task Force and highlight the increasing collaboration between law enforcement and the retail sector to protect businesses statewide.
Attendees also will hear from top legal, policy and industry voices in a series of focused sessions:
- Alcohol update: Presented by Flaherty & O’Hara, this session will cover major changes in Pennsylvania alcohol laws and provide a forward-looking policy and compliance perspective.
- State policy update: Featuring a panel that includes state House Appropriations Chairman Jordan Harris, this session will explore state-level policy issues that affect the food and beverage industry.
- Wholesalers meeting: A members-only session focused on wholesale-specific trends, opportunities and challenges.
- Federal policy update: Leaders from key national associations will provide an update on federal policy. Featured speakers include Stephanie Johnson, VP of government relations at the National Grocers Association; Sara Gallo from the Consumer Brands Association; and Andy Harig, FMI’s VP of tax, trade, sustainability and policy development.
More session details and speakers will be announced in the weeks ahead.
“The Fall Legislative Conference continues to be one of the most important gatherings for our industry,” said Alex Baloga, PFMA president and CEO. “We’re proud to bring together state and federal leaders to address the policy issues that matter most to our members.”
