On Aug. 27, Whole Foods Market opened a 47,918-square-foot store at 8701 W. University Drive in McKinney, Texas.
The store’s product assortment features more than 600 items from Texas and neighboring states, each meeting Whole Foods Market’s quality standards.

“Our team is passionate about great food and great service, and this store brings an exciting mix of high-quality options for every shopper,” said Afsaneh Eshaghi, store team leader.
“With features that make shopping here easy and enjoyable, my team and I look forward to welcoming customers and sharing all the incredible food and expertise Whole Foods Market is known for.”
On opening morning, customers received free coffee from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters and bites from OHLA! Foods. The first 300 people in line also got a custom tote bag and Secret Saver coupon featuring offers up to $100 off.
In addition, the first shoppers who used Dash Cart received a branded tote bag. Shoppers scanned items as they shopped and skipped the checkout line.
To mark the occasion, All Community Outreach received an all-electric refrigerated van from the grocer. The organization also accepted a food donation as part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Program, which aims to enhance the operational capabilities of local food rescue organizations, enabling efficient transport of food from surplus locations to areas with the greatest need.
