Food City recently held check presentations for its annual School Bucks program, awarding $800,000 in contributions to more than a thousand area schools.
Company officials are in the process of presenting checks to the schools. Allocations are based upon the percentage of customer purchases assigned. They can monitor their progress biannually online at foodcity.com.
The 2025-26 School Bucks program runs Sept. 3-May 5. For every $1 customers spend using their Food City ValuCards, their designated schools will receive one School Bucks point.

- Fort Payne High School – $2,133; and
- Goldsmith Schiffman Elementary School – $3,460.
Kentucky
- Pikeville Elementary School – $1,034.
