Dorothy Lane Market will hold a grand opening Aug. 20 for its fourth location – the company’s largest yet and first in the metro Cincinnati area.

The store in Mason, Ohio, will encompass a 50,000-square-foot main level grocery and a  9,000-square-foot mezzanine.

“I think it’s really a privilege for Dorothy Lane Market to be a part of the food store landscape in the Mason area,” said Norman Mayne, chairman. “Our hope is that we will live up to the expectations of our customers. I’m grateful that we have this opportunity to open a store there.”

CEO Calvin Mayne added, “We love to make people happy by giving them wonderful, nourishing food for their families, all with our unique shopping experience.”

Founded in 1948, the gourmet grocer also is celebrating its 77th anniversary in August. The store team in Mason will include 275 new hires and 32 other employees.

“Together we’ve worked hard to bring this vision to life,” said Eric  Hansen, Mason city manager.

“On behalf of city council, the Mason teams that attract and deliver such developments and an enthusiastic Mason community, we’d like to welcome Dorothy Lane Market to the neighborhood. This project has all the signature elements that make it a perfect fit; job creation, new capital, unique international presence and most of all significant investment in the  fabric of our community.”

The store will feature grand opening club deals. Customers can access sale prices by using a Club DLM card at checkout. In addition, members will receive 500 bonus points after their first purchase during opening week. Customers can sign up on site or online in advance at DorothyLane.com/ClubDLM

News of the grocer’s intent to build the fourth location was announced in October 2021 and planning commenced afterward. The company broke ground in November 2023.
