The store Food Town will open July 29 at 12460 Highway 6 in Santa Fe, Texas, will be its 28th across greater Houston.
It will feature fresh produce, quality meats cut in-store and everyday essentials. An on-site service center will allow customers to pay bills, buy Texas Lottery tickets, wire money and handle other tasks. An independently owned on-site bakery will offer fresh cakes, pastries and treats.
“Food Town’s goal is to provide convenient access to quality products at budget-friendly prices,” said President Mike Lewis.
Food Town’s stores regularly cater their inventory to the area’s unique needs and preferences.
“Our region’s diversity is part of what makes it special,” Lewis explained. “If there’s an international product or hard-to-find brand our neighbors want, we’ll try to make it available. We want to be good neighbors, because the Houston area is our home, too.”
The location is the site of a recently vacated grocery store. Lewis noted studies show that occupying existing retail space, as opposed to building new locations, has long-term benefits for a community.
“It’s important to give people options when it comes to their shopping,” Lewis said. “We think this is a win for everybody.”
Food Town plans to celebrate with a soft opening featuring deals and discounts.
“It’s always exciting to bring Food Town to a new neighborhood, get to know the people who live and work there and really carve out your place in the community,” he said. “We’re grateful for the chance to serve the people of Santa Fe.”
