This summer, Sprouts Farmers Markets is expanding across the U.S., celebrating several store openings.
Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania
The Sprouts store in Montgomeryville will open July 25, with a ribbon cutting at 7 a.m.
The first 200 shoppers on July 25-26 will receive a free reusable goodie bag filled with special products and samples. Plus, the first 400 guests July 25 will receive a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. Giveaways and music will be featured throughout the weekend.
The store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to Philabundance.
Ocala, Florida
The site at 8430 SW Highway 200 in Ocala opened July 11.
“On behalf of the Marion County Commission, we are thrilled to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to our community,” said County Chair Kathy Bryant.
“This exciting addition brings more than just fresh, healthy food options – it also supports our local economy by creating new job opportunities for our residents. We look forward to the positive impacts Sprouts will have on Marion County.”
One of the weekend festivities was a “pop-up party,” offering guests the chance to taste seasonal produce from the tasting bar and participate in a “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce.
Expired food that is still edible will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
Pittsburg, California
The Pittsburg Sprouts store at 2201 W. Leland Road opened June 27 with a ribbon cutting ceremony that morning.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to the City of Pittsburg,” said Mayor Jelani Killings.
“This exciting addition brings greater access to fresh, healthy food options for our community while creating valuable job opportunities for our residents. Sprouts’ arrival reflects the continued growth of our city and our commitment to attracting businesses that enhance the quality of life for all who call Pittsburg home.”
Expired food that is still edible will be donated to Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.
Woodbury, New Jersey
The new Sprouts Farmers Market at 875 Mantua Pike Ste. 21 in Woodbury held a grand opening June 27, featuring several free samples and giveaways.
Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, this store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible and nutrient rich to Philabundance and Food Bank of South Jersey.
Burleson, Texas
The store in Burleson debuted June 27, with a ribbon cutting taking place on opening morning.
“We are proud to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Burleson,” said Mayor Chris Fletcher. “In addition to providing our residents with more options to shop locally for fresh and healthy food, Sprouts brings 100 new jobs to our community. This expansion supports our goal of creating more opportunities for residents to live and work right here in Burleson.”
Sprouts held numerous activities throughout the weekend to celebrate the grand opening, such as giveaways and taste testings. This store will also donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Dallas, Texas
Located at 1322 N Hampton Road in Kessler Park, the store held a ribbon cutting ceremony June 20. Sprouts held a variety of activities to commemorate the store, such as a “pop-up party” and a free reusable goodie bag for the first 200 customers.
“I am thrilled to celebrate the opening of Sprouts after several years of collaboration among the developer, city staff and the community,” said Councilman Chad West. “This new grocery store will provide critical healthy food options to thousands of North Oak Cliff residents while creating good jobs.”
Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, this store will donate groceries to North Texas Food Bank to prevent food waste.
